Ellie

Ellie was advertised free on Freecycle - her story was very sad indeed.  She had belonged to a young couple, both drug addicts, she lived in one room with no chance of going out, no litter tray and the couple constantly fighting as well as forgetting to feed her.  The girl's father took the cat away from them and tried to find her a new home - eventually mine.   She became very attached to my eldest son so she now lives with him and his wife.

She is deaf but the vet said that has nothing to do with her coloring - only 10% of white cats are deaf, contrary to popular belief, and anyhow it is the combination of white fur and blue eyes that can cause deafness, and Ellie's eyes are green.   The vet reckoned her deafness is due to being kicked in the head !!!  and certainly when she arrived to me she was terrified of her own shadow, poor baby.

She is now around 9 or 10 yrs old and sleeps mostly, but she's still a lovely little girl.  :-)
